There's no question that
great wardrobe = great photoshoot
Men ask me all the time: what should I wear for my photoshoot?
Great photoshoot wardrobe is wardrobe that is authentic to you
and compliments your look well.
Check out these
5 Iconic Outfits
I hope they inspire you for your next photoshoot:
A good quality, tailored blazer is such a statement piece and it can be styled many ways. Remember to avoid low quality and shiny fabrics.
Go as professional, timeless or creative as you want with a shirt!
Just because you’re a professional, it doesn’t mean you need to wear a suit for your Brand Photoshoot. If you work in a casual or creative setting, it’s totally ok to go with a casual outfit.
I’ve always loved this outfit, because it’s such a good combination of professional and casual.
Perhaps one of my favorite business casual outfits, it’s so modern!

Over the years I’ve grown to love winter more, but we’re still not best friends.
I love the atmosphere of Christmas, dreamy snow, mulled wine, cozy sweaters. I also have a hard time with shorter days, less sunlight and being lazy and unmotivated. Pandemic winter has obviously been especially hard.
Here are some of my recent favourites which have helped me enjoy this winter much more!
A vibrant coat is something that can really lift your mood during dark winter days. I’ve been looking for a red coat for some time and finally found a beautiful one.
People often think my wardrobe is quite big, but I actually invest in quality timeless pieces. This recycled jean dress is unbelievably comfortable and I know I will enjoy it for years.
Reading is certainly one of activities that helped me cling to my sanity over the past two years. I’m always grateful for books and there’s always more on my list.
“Sweetness of water” by Nathan Harris synopsis: In the waning days of the Civil War, brothers Prentiss and Landry—freed by the Emancipation Proclamation—seek refuge on the homestead of George Walker and his wife, Isabelle. The Walkers, wracked by the loss of their only son to the war, hire the brothers to work their farm, hoping through an unexpected friendship to stanch their grief. Prentiss and Landry, meanwhile, plan to save money for the journey north and a chance to reunite with their mother, who was sold away when they were boys.
“Nothing but the truth” by Marie Henein synopsis: An intimate and no-holds-barred memoir by Canada's top defence lawyer, Nothing But the Truth weaves Marie Henein's personal story with her strongly held views on society's most pressing issues, legal and otherwise.
“The Last Duel” synopsis: Jean de Carrouges is a respected knight known for his bravery and skill on the battlefield. Jacques Le Gris is a squire whose intelligence and eloquence makes him one of the most admired nobles in court. When Le Gris viciously assaults Carrouges' wife, she steps forward to accuse her attacker, an act of bravery and defiance that puts her life in jeopardy. The ensuing trial by combat, a grueling duel to the death, places the fate of all three in God's hands.
It’s always extremely hard to choose a favourite photo of the season, because I love them all. Capturing this moment with Baljit was true magic!
It’s always lovely to relax with a good series. I’ve been spending my evenings with these two shows lately.
Younger: This show is funny, witty and the cast is amazing! Synopsis: Liza Miller, a 40-year-old recently divorced mother who, after finding it difficult to get a job at her age, attempts to pass herself off as a 26-year-old in order to get any job in her pre-mom career to support herself and her college age daughter.
Witcher: I’ve always been a fan of the Witcher because of my Polish roots. I’m enjoying the Netflix show quite a lot, however I wish there were more episodes in both seasons. Even though the show is about a monster hunter, it’s truly about love, friendship and politics.
Business is all about relationships.
Learn to maintain healthy relationships, figure out who you connect with best.
Make sure to give credit, make sure to give back, make sure to show appreciation and say thank you.
Wishing you a beautiful winter!

Ah, photoshoots! They can be extremely fun, inspiring and empowering, but also overwhelming. After all, the photos are very important. They will be a crucial part of your presentation and a big factor in determining whether people will contact you or not.
So how do you make sure your photoshoot is a success? Here are my Top 5 Tips For an AMAZING Brand Photoshoot:
1. Choose The Right Photographer
You want to work with someone who understands branding photography and will guide you smoothly through the process. Photography is a vast field and it’s very unlikely a newborn photographer (just an example) will have the expertise/equipment/props/space necessary to create excellent branding photos.
2. Pick The Right Wardrobe
The better the wardrobe, the better your photoshoot. It doesn’t mean you need designer wardrobe. It means you want variety and outfits that work for you, your brand and your body shape. I actually take the time to do a wardrobe consultation with my clients, because it always means better results!
3. Pick Your Colors
Picking and sticking to your brand colors is a big part of building a brand, brand recognition and loyalty. It will make your personal brand more memorable and less confusing. Why is brand recognition SO important? Just imagine how confusing it would be if your favorite brand of cereal was changing their colors and logo every month.
4. Plan Your Content
You will maximize your investment if you can tie your photos to specific content posts you will create throughout the year.
Here are 5 ideas:
a post about your company's mission/name
a post about favorite books/podcasts related to your field
a post about how your clients’ life changed after working with you
a FAQ post
a post showing your work behind the scenes
5. Choose The Right Props
A branding photoshoot will have more of that WOW Factor with the right props. Incorporate props from your work life and again, stick to those brand colors.
So there you have it, my Top 5 Tips For an Amazing Branding Photoshoot. If you’re wondering if we might be a fit to work together, you can always book a chat with me here.
