Iconic Brand Photoshoot Wardrobe Guide

There's no question that
great wardrobe = great photoshoot

People ask me all the time: what should I wear for my photoshoot?

Great wardrobe doesn't mean designer only wardrobe.
Great photoshoot wardrobe is wardrobe that is authentic to you
and compliments your look well.

Check out these Iconic Outfits:

  1. white

I always ask clients to bring at least one white outfit to their Brand Photoshoot.

Sometimes they look at me funny and then it often ends up being their favourite photoshoot outfit.
White has the air of timeless elegance that never goes out of style. It’s not overpowering, so the focus will be on you and your expression.

Wanna make it more interesting? Consider different silhuettes, fabrics and textures.

2. dress

Dresses are often overlooked and they can be a great Brand Photoshoot outfit. There are so many styles, silhuettes and colours available.

For more conservative professionals, you can wear a dress with sleeves or combine it with a blazer.

3. turtleneck

Turtlenecks frame our faces beautifully, which works perfectly for photos.
Depending on the fabric and sleeve length, you can wear them all seasons.

4. jeans

Jeans never go out of style and they help with approachable looks.

If it's approprate for your profession, bring jeans + top to your Brand Photoshoot! For business casual looks, jeans can be combined with blazers and shirts or blouses.

5. suit

A well tailored suit will make you feel unstoppable.

For more approachable looks, choose creative styles or bold colours.

6. black

Black - everybody’s favourite!

Black outfits are always elegant. Whether it’s a sweater, a blazer or a little black dress, feel free to bring something black to your photoshoot.

7. statement blazer

Blazers have made a big comeback in the recent years.

Many people have their favourite statement blazer, whether it’s a classic, well tailored piece or something more fun, like this blazer in my favourite colour, green.

8. WOW Factor outfit

Photoshoots don’t happen every day, so take this chance and wear your WOW Factor outfit.

Whether it’s a tulle skirt, an incredible dress, leather pants, take this chance to capture your authentic, fierce self!

9. your logo/hashtag

Your Brand Photoshoot is a perfect chance to wear an outfit with your logo or hashtag.

These photos are absolutely great for marketing and building brand awareness.

10. creative top

Creative tops are so fun to photograph and make photos interesting to look at.
Remember to skip thick cotton blouses and choose a flowy fabric instead.

bonus: can I wear a sweater?

If you don’t want the photos to be too seasonal, choose a sweater that’s not too chunky and doesn’t have an obvious winter pattern.

If you want to use the photos only in winter, you can wear whatever sweater you want.

Protect Your Mortgage with the Right Life Insurance

It’s always important that you take time to consider how you will pay off your new mortgage if something unexpected happens to you.

While it’s often tempting to opt for standard mortgage insurance, Amanda Cutten explains many people don’t know that the right life insurance policy can offer this same protection alongside several additional benefits - including:

You name your own beneficiary.

This means that, in the event something happens to you, your beneficiary can decide how the death benefit payment will be allotted. A typical mortgage insurance policy names the financial institution as the automatic beneficiary for the amount due.

You have more choice

When selecting your life insurance coverage limit, you can choose any amount subject to policy limits. Traditional mortgage insurance has fewer options in terms of both the amount of coverage you can choose and the length of the coverage period.

Your coverage does not decrease

Traditional mortgage insurance policies only offer a decreasing benefit for the length of the policy’s term – so just enough to cover the remaining balance of the mortgage itself. A life insurance policy would provide you with the full value of the death benefit – regardless of what you still owe.

You can add additional coverage options

If you opt to protect your mortgage through a life insurance policy, you can take advantage of many additional coverage options. A disability waiver of premiums, for example, is a type of coverage that helps preserve your policy in the event your income is affected by an unexpected disability. Buying a home is a big and often-intimidating process so it’s important to ensure you’re well-prepared.

Be sure to consult an insurance and financial services professional to confirm you’re on the right track and determine the best mortgage protection option for you. Not sure where to start? Reach out to Amanda for more helpful insurance tips.

5 Keys to Unlocking the Door to Home Ownership

This week, Eugenia Evans of Evans Real Estate is sharing with us 5 Keys to Unlocking the Door to Home Ownership:

1. ‘Just do it’ is the iconic Adidas slogan but it works equally well in real estate. There will never be the perfect time or the perfect house.

2. Like in life, do not listen to what people have to say as this is when all the naysayers will come into your life. Hire and work with experts you trust and then consider their educated advice before making decisions.

3. Pay your bills on time as this is one of the biggest impacts on your credit rating. Lenders’ value and appreciate responsible borrowers and this is reflected in your credit score. If you don’t have a credit score or it is low, work diligently to create one and do not neglect those pesky cell phone bills as they are a relatively small amount that can have a huge impact on your credit score.

4. The earlier you start investing in real estate the more successful you will ultimately be and feel. You can then use one property to leverage yourself into another property if owning multiple properties is your goal.

5. Consider purchasing a property and sharing to help pay off your mortgage with perhaps extra payments. It does not have to be a forever proposition, perhaps set a five-year timeline as this is when your mortgage payments have the highest impact in reducing your interest payments.

From growing up in a trailer park to multiple 7 figures

Dear Pure Tribe,

today I want to share with you a podcast that truly moved me recently. We’ve worked with Nicole a few times but I had no idea of her journey. I knew she was a successful clinic owner, a business coach and a wonderful person to be around and work with. I think I assumed she came from a business savvy family, which couldn’t be further from the truth.

Listen here to find out about 3 things Nicole learned about success from growing up in a trailer park:

Are you sharing your Victim Story or Passion Story?

Understanding the Difference

As entrepreneurs, we often find ourselves narrating our experiences through two distinct lenses: the passion story and the victim story.

The passion story revolves around the "why" behind our entrepreneurial journey, encapsulating everything we are deeply passionate about – our mission, the positive aspects of our work, and the meaningful contributions we make. Sharing our passion story fosters connection, conveys our commitment to our tasks, and spreads positivity, cultivating a productive mindset and attracting people to us like a magnet.

The victim story is a compilation of the challenges, setbacks, and the aspects of our work that we dislike. It extends beyond professional hurdles to include the events in our lives that thwarted our pursuit of an idealized perfect life.

It's not uncommon for individuals to share their victim stories. The allure of the victim story lies in its relatability – we've all faced obstacles and disappointments. However, focusing on this narrative can be emotionally draining, not only for ourselves but also for those around us. I don’t know about you, but I dislike following people who are always negative, sad or angry. It’s simply draining.

The Power of Focusing on Your Passion Story

While it may be tempting to default to the victim story, the real magic happens when we consciously choose to center our narrative around our passion story. This shift in focus is not about denying or dismissing challenges; rather, it's a strategic choice to emphasize the positive aspects of our journey, both personally and professionally.

When we share our passion story, we inspire others by highlighting the purpose behind our work. This creates a ripple effect, fostering a culture of optimism, resilience, and innovation. It attracts more positive people, changing your network for the better.

Embracing the passion story allows us to tap into our intrinsic motivation, reinforcing our commitment to our goals even in the face of challenges. It empowers us to view setbacks as opportunities for growth rather than insurmountable roadblocks.

While it may not be easy or even possible at times (we all go through difficult experiences throughout our lives) we do have the power most of the time to shape our lives and our story!

During your photoshoot, we encourage you to practice showing up as your highest, most empowered self. It’s within you, you need to practice letting that person out more.
