Winter Favorites

A lot of us have a love-hate relationship with this season. I’m no different. I love the atmosphere of Christmas, dreamy snow, mulled wine in restaurants, cozy sweaters. But I also have a hard time with shorter days, less sunlight and being lazy and unmotivated. Here are some of my recent favourites which have helped me enjoy this winter much more!

  1. Red Parka

I love dressing up in winter, but when it’s quite cold, there’s nothing like a great parka. It’s a must for me when I’m travelling, makes me feel safe, comfortable and warm. This Calvin Klein model has plenty of practical pockets. When I’m travelling, I always want to have my documents, my wallet and phone in an inside pocket.

2. Lavender Goodies: Sleepy Body Lotion & Pure Couture Soap

If you know me well, you know I’m obsessed with good quality lavender products. They are a big part of my bedtime routine. I love using the lavender soap from Pure Couture for my evening shower and afterwards Sleepy Body Lotion on my body. After this ritual, I usually fall asleep in minutes :)

3. Pearl Ear Muffs & Gloves

Cute accessories can brighten a dark winter day. I particularly like these ear muffs because they keep my ears warm without messing up my hair!

4. Photo of the Season: Sexy Sweater Weather

I’ve been wanting to take some sensual photos just for myself for a while now. But as it often is with those things, I kept delaying it. The main reason was gaining a few pounds, as I always do when fall starts. Then I decided I don’t need to look perfect to be happy with a photo of myself. Once the photos were done, my only regret was not having them done sooner.

5. Quote: Women should be Brave, not perfect.

There’s a lot of famous quotes from Billie Jean (one of my favourite tennis icons), but this one is very special to me. Every single day I see women stopping themselves from marketing themselves, from speaking out, from putting themselves out there simply because they’re not perfect (in their head).
If we want to change that for our and future generations, we have to be brave. We have to consciously choose where we put our focus. Nobody will do it for us, we have to do it for ourselves. Seeking validation is pointless because if you’re doing that, you’re already giving your power away. Why not instead focus on what good we can create, how we can become masters of our craft and how we can have plenty of fun along the way.
